Domaine de la Choupette, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru “Les Chalumaux” is an elegant white dry wine made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the vineyard “Le Chalumeau” in Puligny-Montrachet appellation on soils consisting mainly of limestone and marl. The crop is harvested by hand, carefully selected and gently pressed using a pneumatic press. Fermentation begins in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, at the end of the wort moves into large oak barrels. Then follows the stage of malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged in oak barrels (70% old, 30% new) for 10-12 months.
