The wine has a good, deep, ruby-red color, but is not quite opaque. Dark, cassis fruit on the nose is of medium intensity & is dominated by notes of cedarwood & tobacco-leaf. The palate shows more open, blackcurrant fruit, which is supported by fresh acidity. Tannins are firm but only really show themselves on the finish. Alcohol is in balance & the wine has good length.
