Description
The last vintage of the ’50s was legendary for Bordeaux, which produced a bounty of rich, velvety, sumptuous wines. These wines were known for their tannin and alcohol, and the very best should still be drinking well now. The Italian harvest was also very good but often eclipsed by shouldering vintages.
