Description

The wines of Margaux are among the most pleasant and aromatic. The whole world envies their sweet fruity, spicy and smoky aromas, the distinction of their tannins and their right balance between alcohol and acidity. Cabernet Sauvignon, the emblematic grape variety of the Médoc, covers 60% of the appellation and brings structure, bouquet and ageing potential. The wines have a dense, dark garnet colour. After ageing, the tannic structure is fine, supple and elegant with a magnificent length in the mouth.

The 1979 vintage produced a good harvest both in quality and quantity. The wines are harmonious, balanced and fruity. With good ageing potential, the great wines are magnificent today. Long underestimated, this vintage remains excellent value for money.
