A very rare and exciting wine indeed. The label is a bit knocked about but the excellent level for the age, just into the neck indicates decent storage. For some enthusiasts this is the greatest Australian wine they have ever had. The Penfold heritage says it all.

Drunk at a rare Australian wine dinner on Australia Day at Table in Hong Kong – Extremely clean and crisp, clearly an excellent bottle with an ‘in to neck’ fill. Paired with an excellent bottle of ’82 John Riddoch and whilst the 707 took the honours it was by no means a unanimous decision.
