Wonderfully fresh, predominately blueberry fruit, with tobacco hints. Fine powdery tannins, medium acid. From original release and well stored since. Look forward to the remaining 5 over the next two years.

    Drinking very nicely, fully mature

Super integrated. Best of both worlds with the Temp and the Cab Sauv. Enjoyed with friends after a day skiing and with Bratwurst. Killer. A joy to drink.

Excellent, almost like Bordeaux wine. 50% Cab Sauv & 50% Tempranillo. Matured but still vivid, round, soft and silky. Maybe just a bit weak on the after taste but minor flaw. Beautiful!

Dark core. Utterly captivating nose. OHNE_MUSK, described perfectly. This wine is textbook elegance. Soft with finesse. The palate is in excellent balance. Highly enjoyable from start to finish. 94+. Screw it 95+. Note, this may last several more years but I feel this is at it’s apex.

Excellent cork. Splash decant to remove sediment. Wow, the nose on this is superb. Beguiling and complex aromas of sour cherry/ blackcurrant, worn leather, dried violets, soy-mushroom, and just a whiff of barnyard. Palate is fabulous – bountiful and succulent red fruit, rose hip acidity, more dried flowers, then fanning out into a broad array of tertiary leather/umami notes. A bit of perfectly integrated oak gives it flair and a lustrous texture but no vanillin. A wisp of green but no noticeable brett. Mid-palate starts a touch austere but quickly fills out and transitions to a hauntingly long and seamless finish.

Aristocratic at its core but wrapped in wildness. Tastes like a hypothetical love-child of a warm 90’s year Tondonia gran reserva and top tier Pauillac (13%; 50/50 Tempranillo/Cab). At peak now but maybe holds for another 10 years? A total surprise (random auction purchase) and probably the best red I’ve had all year. 96
