I will never understand the @meric@n (?) sentiment that anything that isn’t gobs of fruity jam is dead or dying…
In my book, this wine is just about hitting early maturity. Its plateau is nigh. This is still an adolescent wine.
A beautiful, deep and rich aroma profile of Bdx earth, red berries, a whiff of the horses and cows that just walked by and lovely sumi ink!
In the mouth this still packs a youthful tannic punch, (chewy tannins) has youthful supporting fruit, perfect acidity, medium intensity and slightly lacking in depth and length. The sumi ink/olive brine character is to die for!
90 for now with plenty of upside for the patient.

This grows magnificently by the hour. Three hours in, this is amazing!
I need to get a case of this beauty. 92-93 now.

Continues to amaze! The mid palate remains weak, but everything else is just booming. Wow! What a bargain wine from an amazing vintage! 93 for sure! Upside for the patient and for us who are stashed.
