Description
97 Points Robert Parker
The deep purple-colored 2004 Shiraz is sourced from a 100+-year-old vineyard yielding one ton of fruit per acre. It was aged for two years in new French oak hogsheads. The complex aromatics reveal floral notes, mineral, and blueberry with an added lift from the Viognier. Full-bodied, ripe, and succulent, on the palate spice, game, and chocolate notes emerge. This plush, pleasure-driven wine can be enjoyed now but will evolve for 6-8 years and drink well through 2025.

Another gem – dark in glass, effusive dark florals, soft fruit, ringing. Focused sweetness, not overwhelming, just prominent enough to be enjoyable.
Juicy, balanced, supple, lithe, and certainly age with youthfulness; power with finesse. Impressions of white fruit.
Sweet tea leaf, transparent layers, wood spice on finish. An effortless purity, leading to a long ringing finish.
Special, and went nicely with our guanciale-fried veg + random cuts of beef. At peak, no signs of flagging.
Happy Children’s Day!

this time had enough time to enjoy this bottle. from slight savory note to full subtle layers of berry sweetness filled the mouth for long duration… the taste of fresh grapes lingered on for sometime

(Sealand Rd) Juicy rich red and blue fruit, concentrated, sweet and well resolved. Yum!

(@Kim&Kevin’s) Layered sweet spice, soft fruit. Resolved tannins. Clean concentrated red fruit, espresso bitters. Age and sophistication, but very much still going on. Really opened up after an hour or so. Lovely!

sadly no time to decant, still a fire breather from start, strong berry hit in the face with spices and coffee… through out the night it stayed really strong, smoother but still full body from start to finish
