Terroir-istes International – Spain, Priorat (Overgaauw Wine Estate): (Tasted Blind): (Tasted Blind): Deep ruby colour. The nose offers a fragrant garrigue note with tar, black olive, leather and rose petals.
It is an intense wine with light, finely woven tannins and a fair depth of fruit. I liked its expression, litheness, elegance and close-knit structure enhanced by a racy horizontal acidity. Flavours of leather, pata negra, salt lick, spice and dried cranberry. The finish includes touches of cola tonic and a herbal edge. Dances along nicely!

The last bottle I tried was over four years ago, so I figured it was time to pop the other. Slightly oxidized and a bit musty, but still nice fruit, slightly dusty, but altogether fantastic. Sure, it’s an older wine with a few issues, but those pail in comparison to its majesty. Lovely. thedrunkencyclist.com
