Description
Clos de l’Écu is a Beaune Premier Cru in Burgundy. The Pinot Noir vineyard is a monopoly of Domaine Faively. Some older bottles from the previous owner, Jaboulet-Vercherre, are still available. Of which these are examples.
The Clos de l’Écu vineyard is a walled plot of 2.37 hectares (5.86 acres) It is separated from the slighly larger A l’Écu vineyard, also a premier cru. They are located at the northern end of Beaune’s belt of premier cru sites, near the commune boundary with Savigny-lès-Beaune.
