Description
Description
The soil here is eroded blue-and-pink granite washed from the slopes, and yellow granite from neighbouring Fleurie, in a shallow amphitheatre. The 1.5 hectares of vines were planted in 1938, ’52 and ’65. This is the most velvety of these crus; Thibault raises it in traditional Burgundian barriques. The tannins are soft and creamy this year. A mouth filling, meaty, ripe wine, with a slightly rustic charm.
