1937 Chateau Montrose, Saint-Estephe, France

A very tidy bottle for the age with a low shoulder level. For 1937, the vintage was generally very good despite much of Europe contending with a cooler than average and cloudy summer. Some Bordeaux, like Château Petrus, Latour and La Mission Haut-Brion, were extremely good. At least this is left bank!
