Description
2017 Vintage Tasted: Jan 2022
Most of this blend comes from vineyards planted on the granitic soils of Puquillay, in the Colchagua Valley, from vines planted in 2005, about 900 meters above sea level. It’s 53% syrah, 23% cabernet sauvignon, 21% petite sirah, and the rest is carignan from the south, from very old dry-farmed vines in Cauquenes, in the Maule secano. The blend is explosive. It’s an ample, big, juicy, and tremendously ripe wine that fills the mouth with its sweetness—not a single taste bud can escape this succulent attack. Another one for lamb. Interesting stuff!
