Opened (pop and pour) after a corked Philip Togni 1994. Massive snd meaty. Stunning, modern Bordeaux, with fabulous complexity. Still primary, but already a complete experience. This will improve..

This bottle had more smokey charcoal aromas and flavors than my previous reviews. Graphite and earthiness too, fruit is in the background, very long grippy finish. Youthful deep magenta color, beautiful wine to behold, the epitome of elegance and power.

Drank this wine twice over the last month from different lots but showed consistence in quality. Excellent blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot
The wine with a deep, dark ruby color with purple hues, although 15 years old, still indicating youthfulness and concentration.
The bouquet is rich and complex, w layers of dark fruits such as blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum. Notes of cedar, tobacco, and leather with hints of spice, vanilla, and a touch of minerality.
On the palate, full-bodied and powerful, ripe black fruits complemented by well-integrated tannins. The acidity is vibrant, providing balance and freshness. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and a subtle earthiness. To drink now but this vintage is built for aging, with the structure to evolve beautifully over the next 10 and even 20 years or more.
To fully appreciate i advise standing the bottle upright for at least 24 hours prior to opening. This allows the sediment to settle at the bottom of the bottle, ensuring a clearer pour. Decant I believe is not necessary if you open at least 2 hrs in advance.
This wine pairs of course wonderfully with rich dishes such as grilled lamb, beef tenderloin, or a hearty mushroom risotto. It also complements aged cheeses and dark chocolate desserts.
    A perfect Bordeaux!!
